The handwoven cotton collection features ethical scarves, throws and blankets. All items are handcrafted in Tanzania and Ecuador using locally dyed, 100% pure cotton.
In Tanzania, the social enterprise Shanga trains and employs people with disabilities. Their mission is simple and yet, powerful “Be kind and recycle”. Additionally, they provide a safe and creative environment for Tanzanian artisans to create new products using recycled materials as much as possible.
Maki is a Fair Trade certified organisation in Cuenca, Ecuador. Aside from engaging indigenous female artisans well versed in the art of weaving, they also provide employment opportunities in rural areas. Each artisan also employs ancient techniques to represent the tradition, culture and symbolism of their people.
